Thanksgiving is the ultimate slow food meal. For most households across America, the cooking has already started. The planning, the shopping, and the preparations of the desserts and appetizers ahead of time will make the main course that much easier. With Thanksgiving a couple days away, we’ve already started the process. Today, I baked Glazed Pumpkin Cookies. More savory than sweet, it’s a dessert any adult could appreciate.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Icing:
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
